Overview of Factory License in India & Delhi

The Factories Act of 1948 requires factory registration to make sure a factory abides by the set standards and safety regulations. The Delhi government gives a licence following the registration of a factory. This factory licence is a document that grants permission to control and conduct manufacturing activities out of a specific location.

According to the Factories Act of 1948, factories that employ ten or more workers with the help of power for the production process and factories that employ twenty or more workers without the use of electricity are required to register in Delhi.
